Governance
CRYMBO Oracle governance defines how protocol rules, validator requirements, and network parameters are managed and updated.
Current Governance Model (Phase 1)
In Phase 1, governance is managed by the CRYMBO core team with input from:
- Validator advisory committee
- Institutional user feedback
- Regulatory requirements
Governance decisions include:
- Validator eligibility criteria
- Minimum stake requirements
- Fee structure and distribution
- Supported blockchain networks
- Compliance rule updates
- Protocol upgrades
Future Governance (Post-TGE)
Governance will progressively decentralize:
| Phase | Governance Model |
|---|---|
| Phase 1 (Current) | Core team governance with advisory input |
| Phase 2 | Token-weighted voting on specific protocol parameters |
| Phase 3 | Full on-chain governance for non-compliance parameters |
Note: Compliance rules (e.g., Travel Rule thresholds, sanctions lists) are never subject to governance voting. Regulatory requirements are non-negotiable and are updated by CRYMBO's compliance team based on applicable law.
Transparency
All governance decisions are documented and published:
- Protocol change proposals (public)
- Validator requirement updates (public)
- Fee structure changes (advance notice to all participants)
- Network parameter changes (documented in release notes)
