Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
CRYMBO Platform supports MFA to add an extra layer of security for user authentication.
Supported MFA Methods
| Method | Description |
|---|---|
| TOTP (Authenticator App) | Time-based one-time password via Google Authenticator, Authy, etc. |
| Email OTP | One-time code sent to registered email |
| SMS OTP | One-time code sent via SMS (available for select regions) |
MFA Policies
Institutions can configure MFA policies:
- Required for all users — Every login requires MFA
- Required for specific roles — Only admin and compliance roles require MFA
- Required for sensitive actions — MFA triggered for payments, settings changes, etc.
- Optional — Users can opt in to MFA
Setup
- Navigate to Security Settings in the CRYMBO Platform
- Select MFA method
- Scan QR code (for TOTP) or verify email/phone
- Confirm setup with a test code
- MFA is active on your account
