Rewards & Scoring
The CRYMBO Oracle incentivizes honest, reliable validator behavior through a token-based rewards system and a reputation scoring mechanism.
Reward Model
| Component | Description |
|---|---|
| Base Rewards | Fixed $RMBO reward per epoch for maintaining stake and availability |
| Variable Rewards | Additional $RMBO proportional to the number of transactions validated |
| Quality Multiplier | Optional multiplier based on uptime, response latency, and dispute-free performance |
Rewards are distributed on-chain, deterministically and transparently.
Reputation Score
Every validator maintains a reputation score that affects their:
- Eligibility for validation assignments
- Weight in quorum voting
- Reward multiplier (higher reputation = higher earning potential)
- Long-term credibility in the network
Score Factors
| Factor | Weight | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Uptime | High | Percentage of epochs the validator was available and responsive |
| Accuracy | Critical | Ratio of correct validations to total validations |
| Response Time | Medium | Average time to complete validation requests |
| Dispute Rate | High (negative) | Number of successfully disputed validations |
| Stake Duration | Low | Length of continuous staking period |
Slashing
Validators are penalized (slashed) for:
| Violation | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Incorrect attestation | Partial stake reduction + reputation penalty |
| Sustained downtime | Partial stake reduction + temporary suspension |
| Malicious behavior / collusion | Full stake slashing + permanent ban |
| Protocol violation | Variable stake reduction based on severity |
Slashed tokens may be burned, redirected to the CRYMBO Treasury, or allocated to recovery mechanisms. All slashing is enforced on-chain and is fully auditable.
Economic Alignment
The combined staking, reward, and slashing model ensures:
- Honest behavior is economically rewarded
- Misbehavior is economically punished
- Validator incentives align with protocol integrity
- Oracle outputs can be trusted by institutions and smart contracts
